The Macedonian association of agricultural cooperatives on November 16 in hotel Romatic, Veles held a workshop which was part of the activities provided by the project “Let’s build a cooperative society” and supported by Civica Mobilitas. Ivanovski stressed that only through economic association of farmers in agricultural cooperatives will increase competitiveness, enable higher bargaining power of farmers, increase the quality and commercialization of agricultural production in Macedonia.
The workshop was also attended by the Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Mr. Trajan Dimkovski, who was open to answer questions from the present representatives of cooperatives. The cooperatives emphasized the problems and challenges they are facing at the moment and at the same time addressed them to the representative of MAAC with one goal and that is their greater representation in state and government measures to support cooperatives and change the legislation that currently does not goes in favor of cooperatives.
