The Macedonian association of agricultural cooperatives started implementing the project: “Business Plan 2019-2020” which was developed based on the call for support of an umbrella organization in the EU project “Support for the development of agricultural cooperatives” implemented by Care Germany-Luxembourg and the Macedonian development enterprise foundation – MEDF, and funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The purpose of the MAACs Business Plan is: Capacity building and financial support of MAAC in order to adhere to the principles of democratic governance and functional independence, as well as strengthening its role of support and development of agricultural cooperatives in the country. Simultaneously with the project, it is expected to strengthen the capacities of MAAC by the end of 2020 and provide support to agricultural cooperatives, to improve advocacy and lobbying in the interest of cooperatives and to promote cooperative idea and movement. Redefining the structure and introducing a professional Executive office of MAAC as well as leveling the normative acts and the organizational structure in the management of the organization, for a functional umbrella organization with a well-established structure of the Executive office were the first implemented activities of the project. The period of implementation of the activities in the “Business Plan 2019-2020” is 18 months, starting from 20.06.2019-20.12.2020.
