Regional Conference of agricultural cooperatives in Strumica: “The association of farmers is the future of Macedonian agriculture”
Under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Zoran Zaev, and organized by the Macedonian association of agricultural cooperatives, today in Strumica was held the 5-th Regional Conference of agricultural cooperatives, which was organized under the motto “To build a cooperative society.”
“The cooperative is one of the key segments of the policies for development of the agricultural sector, on which the Government led by the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, is working dedicatedly. It is more than clear that the association of farmers in cooperatives should be the future of Macedonian agriculture as well, “said at the conference the advisor for agriculture in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Lence Nikolovska.
Also at the conference It was emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture in its rural development program has an item that supports agricultural cooperatives, and that in cooperation with the Macedonian association of agricultural cooperatives, is actively working to improve the model of agricultural association and support for these initiatives .
The regional conference of agricultural cooperatives in Strumica was attended by representatives of Cooperative Unions from Serbia, Vojvodina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Poland.
